Relaunch of Wells Nursery
Wells Primary and Nursery School have been part of The Wensum Trust since the 1st September 2017.
The Trust have been instrumental in ‘transforming’ the Nursery by carrying out a full refurbishment of the building and teaching/learning equipment; and welcomed the community to come and view the facilities at a Relaunch event held on Wednesday 2nd May 2018.
“I am delighted to have welcomed so many families and members of the local and wider community, to see the excellent provision. We are thrilled to be opening the Nursery full-time from September and continuing to develop the excellent teaching and learning in the school.”
Mrs Rachel Stroulger, Headteacher at Wells-Next-The-Sea Primary and Nursery School
The Nursery provision will now be open full-time from September 2018, running sessions from 8.30-11.30am and 12-3pm so that the community will benefit from the excellent standard of teaching and learning that is currently present.
There is great transition from Nursery to the Reception Year, with standards rising, culminating in results in 2017 4% above national average at the end of Year R.
“The Wensum Trust is delighted to be providing the Wells community and surrounding areas a seamless provision from the age of 3 to 16 via Wells Primary, Burnham Market Primary and Alderman Peel High School. The starting point at Wells Nursery is an excellent provision that gives children the very best start to their education journey. We are delighted to have invested in the transformation of the building. This gives the children, their families and the school staff a high quality building benefiting of the excellent provision the nursery and school offers.”
Mr John Smith, Chair of the Trustees – The Wensum Trust
Many thanks to Morrisons, Fakenham and Wells Deli for their sponsorship of the event. We are very well supported by the local community and are grateful for this.
