As a school, we always mark Remembrance Day and ensure that the children understand the importance of this day. Every year, we have supported the Royal British Legion by selling poppies and we have always impressed the charity’s organiser by how much the children raise. These will be on sale from tomorrow. We ask for a suggested donation of 50p (correct change only please). This should be brought to school in a named purse or envelope and handed to the class teacher. Year 6 School Councillors will come round to the classes each afternoon to sell the poppies for anyone who wishes to buy one.

We also have some Royal British Legion merchandise such as snap bands, bracelets, poppy shaped reflectors and zip pulls. These will be available to purchase outside the front of school on Wednesday 3^rd, Thursday 4^th, Tuesday 9^th, Wednesday 10^th and Thursday 11^th November from Mrs Seagrave. For these items, we do ask for a set donation fee (snap bands £1.50, rubber bracelets £1, reflectors and zip pulls 50p). Please note that we only have a limited amount of each item. Correct change must be used as the money will go straight into the collection pots.
