Media students learn to analyse film, television, magazines, radio, video games, newspapers, music videos and websites.  They are taught to question and engage with challenging concepts such as representation, narrative and genre.   We have a dedicated a media suite where students can film and edit their work using industry-level software.

Results at GCSE and A Level have been consistently good or outstanding, with many pupils going on to study the subject at a higher level and work in the industry. The department offers many extra opportunities for students to learn from media professionals.  This includes a recent partnership with the BBC in Norfolk, whereby students gained broadcast training in and out of school.  We have also had our students broadcast a programme live from HHS on the BBC World Service.
