We are about to start our second week, having started getting used to things being very different to the usual and we hope you are all keeping well.
Hello! It is still hard to believe that, in less than two weeks, all of our lives have changed so much. The teaching team have been so responsive to send out learning packs to keep you busy and I know how much lovely shared learning has already been taking place on Tapestry in the Early Years and on Purple Mash in Year 1 and Year 2 this week. The Early Years team have loved seeing your maths with Lego and cooking to name just a couple of things. Mrs Ottolangui has been delighted with your positive comments about her storytelling so thank you on her behalf. The Year 1 team have been impressed with the work you have been creating on Purple Mash and they have loved the personalised messages you have been attaching to your work. Year 2 have enjoyed commenting on your amazing Purple Mash maths.
Remember, Purple Mash is a really useful resource and is the main way we will maintain communication and share learning with you (Tapestry in Nursery and Reception). Please ensure your child has logged on and if you have any problems, please let us know by emailing email@example.com
Just remember, the team misses you all. The Arden Grove families are what makes our school such a wonderful place to work and learn and I know the team would want me to wish everyone a safe and happy few weeks. The team is still keeping busy (some juggling school work whilst also supporting their own children to do the work their children have been sent home so I know they will definitely be able to empathise with you!!!). We are looking at ways to share work ideas with you and we will keep updating the app. We are also aware lots of you, like the staff, at working from home with your children and this can make doing suggested school tasks, shall we say … challenging?! We want you to feel supported, connected to school but not overwhelmed. We are looking at Purple Mash as a way for staff to easily communicate with you and we will update you with this next week. At the end of they day we all want to find a way to keep talking, just in a slightly different way. Take care and if you have any queries, please just email the office.
