Film Studies

Film Studies is a relatively recent subject established at Hellesdon High School.  Previously, it was taught as part of the Media Studies curriculum but student demand and success has led to it being established and taught in its own right.

Film Studies Teachers - Education and experience

The course is led by Miss Miah, with teaching shared between Mr Galley, Mr Champion and Miss Wyer.  Students benefit a great deal from having teachers who are also able to bring their Literature and Language expertise into the classroom.

The course gives students the opportunity to study a wide range of films in depth, as well as to make their own films and screenplays.  Please note that the films listed in the curriculum plan are subject to change
