MONDAY 16 MARCH (AM)

As anticipated, Public Health England has advised that Lodge Lane Infant School remains open. This includes Cheeky Monkeys.

Children who are feeling unwell and showing  the following symptoms will be sent home to self isolate for 7 days:

  • A high temperature
  • A new continuous cough

We completely understand the concerns that this matter has raised but, like all schools, we are following the Government's advice. We will, of course, continue to be vigilant about hand washing and the usage of tissues in school.

We hope you will be able to send your children back to school as soon as possible.

MONDAY 16 MARCH (AM)

As many of you will be aware, we have a child at Lodge Lane who has been in contact with a family member confirmed to have Covid-19. The family are all self-isolating.

We are currently waiting to get through to Public Health England for specific advice. In the meantime, we are following general advice from Public Health England and the Department for Education that the school remains open.

We will post another update on our website when we have more news. We anticipate this to be within the next hour.
