Primary School


FOBS, (Friends of Burnham Market School), is the school's Parent Teacher Association and a registered charity.

FOBS includes all parents, carers and staff at the school and has a dedicated team of committee members who volunteer for the school and work with the local community to raise funds to support the school. All FOBS fund-raising goes to create the most positive learning experience possible for the children.

We support the local community by taking part in the annual village Christmas light switch on and Flower show and Carnival Parade. 

Last year FOBS again organised several fun events, including a Bingo Night, Autumn and Summer Fetes, film nights for the children and an end-of-year disco.

FOBS also contributed towards the ingredients needed to ensure every child had the opportunity to cook in the new Rosalie Room.  We also provided a fridge/ freezer and microwave for the Rosalie Room.

FOBS successfully raised funds for a defibrillator to be installed outside the front entrance of the school and arranged for the older children and staff to receive training on how to use it. 

Towards the end of the summer term, we contributed towards the new trim trail on the field which the children love using.

Fund-raising during this academic year (2023/2024) will be used to provide some more exciting experiences for the children.  We also hope to be able to provide some special lighting equipment to be used for school productions and finish the sensory garden outside the Rosalie Room. We are also hoping to continue our development of the outside play areas
