Mini Monsters visit Reception

Students at our school had a wild and unforgettable experience this week when the Mini Monsters Roadshow came to visit, bringing along a fascinating collection of unusual creatures.

The special visitor arrived with boxes full of animals that many students had never seen up close before. During the presentation, he introduced the audience to a giant snail, a tarantula and  a variety of other mini beasts from around the world.

Gasps and excited whispers filled the room as Ed carefully explained interesting facts about each creature. Students learnt how spiders spin their webs, why giant snails move so slowly, and how many small creatures play important roles in nature.

One of the most exciting moments came when the children were able to hold or gently touch some of the animals. While some students were a little nervous, many were eager to take part and get a closer look.

Teachers said the visit was a great way to make science come alive. The roadshow helped students learn more about habitats, adaptations, and why even the smallest creatures are important to the environment.

By the end of the session, many students who had been afraid of spiders or snails said they felt much more curious about them. The Mini Monsters Roadshow was a fun and educational event that students will be talking about for a long time.
