Our setting is designed to encourage curiosity, confidence and independence. Through carefully planned play experiences, both indoors and outdoors, our children develop the key skills they need in communication, physical development, personal, social and emotional wellbeing, literacy and numeracy to prepare them for their next steps in both learning and in life. 

We not only understand how important these early years are, but also how emotional it can be for both parents and children when they first start nursery, which is why we work closely with families every step of the way to ensure everyone feels supported and to ensure your child gets the very best start in life.

A Week of Wonder

Our curriculum is designed to spark curiosity and build confidence through specialist-led experiences you won't find anywhere else:

• Weekly Woodland Time: Adventure awaits in our secure, private school woods. Right here on-site, children explore, build, and learn in the heart of nature.

• Music & Movement: Weekly sessions with a specialist music teacher and dedicated PE lessons help children develop rhythm, coordination, and the confidence to express themselves.

• The Joy of Stories: We visit our beautiful school library every week to foster a lifelong love of reading from the very beginning.

• Enrichment Without Limits: From meeting visiting gladiators to petting woolly farm guests, our nursery children are fully immersed in the school’s exciting calendar of visitors and events.

The "Invisible" Transition

One of the greatest advantages of joining our nursery family is the seamless journey into primary education. At Burnham Market Nursery there is no scary 'big school' leap; instead, we offer an invisible transition.

Our Puffin Class is intentionally designed to sit at the heart of the school. Through shared play and collaborative activities, our nursery children become naturally familiar with our Reception class and its teaching staff. By the time they officially start "big school," they aren't strangers—they are already a cherished part of the family.

Hours and Fees (as of September 2025)

• Open 8.30am–3pm Monday to Friday (term-time only)
• Full-time, part-time and flexible sessions available
• 3-hour session - £18.00
• 0.5hr early start session (8.30am–9am) - £3.00
• Option of fresh, nutritious lunch cooked on site - £2.58 per meal
