The Holkham Charitable Foundation
The foundation’s purpose is general charitable purposes, delivered through a variety of charitable activities.
Its work focusses on:
- Supporting small local charities, social enterprises, voluntary groups, clubs, societies, and schools in the NR23 and PE31 areas
- Continuing Holkham Estate’s long-standing support for causes close to the family’s interests, including wildlife and conservation, historic buildings, injured members of the armed forces, and care for the elderly
- Providing community infrastructure and events, such as village halls, scout huts, meeting rooms, playing fields, and sponsoring local activities like the Wells Carnival and Norfolk Superhero Challenge
They may also have funds to contribute towards a library improvement scheme. Applications for grants should be made for the attention of The Trustees of the Holkham Charitable Foundation and should be sent either by post to the Holkham Estate Office or to enquiries@holkham.co.uk
