Primary School Support

Primary support includes:

  • We invite schools to view best practice in action at our showcase events
  • A full audit of a school's early language and phonics provision carried out by one of our experienced Literacy Specialists with support for further action planning (Schools can self-refer here)
  • For those schools meeting the eligibility criteria funding of up to £6000* is available for resources and training.
  • Schools meeting eligibility criteria and chosen to be a partner school will receive up to twelve days of support over 2 academic years from one of our trained Literacy Specialists
  • Training and CPD opportunities throughout the year (Visit our Events & Training section to find out more about upcoming CPD)

Who can access funding?

All state funded schools can refer themselves to an English Hub for support to develop phonics and early reading. 

Any state funded school, with EYFS, KS1, KS2 and KS3 aged children, are able to apply for funding* and support from 26-27. This includes; infant schools, primary schools, junior schools and secondary schools, regardless of Ofsted rating. 

Wensum English Hub provides support across Norfolk and Suffolk.
