EYFS Wroxham Barns Trip 8th May 2025
Reception enjoyed a wonderful visit to Wroxham Barns where they learnt about different animals that live on the farm.
They enjoyed taking part in a variety of activities throughout the day that included feeding sheep, goats and stroking the rabbit and guinea pigs.
Lucy, who works on the farm, told the children lots of interesting facts about the different animals such as, ‘Pigs have 44 very sharp teeth!’ She also explained how the milk that the cows produce is made into yoghurt and ice cream. As they toured the farm, the children also asked their own questions such as, ‘Why are numbers printed on some of the animals?’
One of the many highlights of the day included holding the guinea pigs and thinking of names for some of them. The children came up with some excellent suggestions such as, Sparkle, Biscuit and Cuddles.
Overall, the children had a brilliant day, with one member of Tiger Class stating that ‘It was the best day ever!’
