Look at the amazing journey our children go on with writing at Lodge Lane! From their first attempts at mark making in Reception to beautiful joined handwork in Year 2. Their work is full of creativity and excellent vocabulary too. Take a look by zooming in to the picture or come and have a look next time you're in school. In Year 1, children have been working so hard over the last few weeks to make the most amazing fairy tale inspired puppets. This works started in Book Week and has built to produce some wonderful work. Children have considered carefully the materials to use to make their puppets and they all look absolutely brilliant! The children can't wait to bring them home to share with you.

Welcome back to the summer term! We hope you all had a wonderful break and enjoyed the lovely weather we've been having. Year 2 were straight on it today, learning about different types of measuring. Hedgehog Class learnt about measuring capacity and volume using litres and millilitres whilst Leopard Class were busy learning about measuring length and height using centimetres and metres .
