Book Trust Pyjamarama 2026!

Join the Pyjamarama 2026!!
We’re pleased to share an exciting opportunity from BookTrust for schools and early years settings to get involved in Pyjamarama 2026, taking place on 12 June.
Pyjamarama is a brilliant initiative designed to help children discover the joy of reading for pleasure. Schools that take part will have access to a wide range of free, ready-to-use resources, making it easy to get involved without any additional planning. From activity sheets and parent letters to engaging draw-alongs and read-alongs, everything is provided to help create a fun and memorable experience.
This year includes content from a fantastic line-up of authors and illustrators, including Liz Pichon, Nick Sharratt, Olaf Falafel, Rob Biddulph and Waterstones Children’s Laureate Frank Cottrell-Boyce.
On the day, children are encouraged to come to school in their pyjamas and donate £1, helping to raise vital funds so that every child can experience the magic of stories. While many schools will take part on 12 June, there is flexibility for settings to choose a date that works best for them.
As part of this year’s National Year of Reading, all registered schools and early years settings will also be entered into a prize draw to win a Book Nook—a dedicated reading space complete with a bookshelf, cosy furnishings, bespoke wall art and 100 inspiring books.
We encourage schools in our network to take part and join this fantastic celebration of reading.
