Visit from the Civil Service
On Wednesday 15 November we welcomed Simon and Ian from the Civil Service to give a presentation to the Sixth Form about this important organisation.
After some interesting information around the Civil Service, including what areas such as the Treasury and Cabinet Office do, Ian and Simon gave a brief history of their careers to date.
The Civil Service offers a huge range of roles for young people, from working for the Chancellors’ Office, to procurement (buying things!), to negotiating contracts from the Brexit deal. The talk was well received by students who asked some interesting questions.
