About Us

Hellesdon is a well established and successful Sixth Form. Whilst it is a natural progression for Hellesdon High School students, we also welcome Year 11 students from further afield, such as Taverham, Drayton and Norwich City Centre.

It is large enough to offer a fantastic selection of post-16 courses, alongside outstanding facilities and extra-curricular activities, while still being small enough to give students a welcoming and supportive environment in which to study. Our students benefit from being taught in small groups and from one-to-one support, advice and guidance from both personal tutors and a dedicated pastoral worker.

In its most recent inspection, Hellesdon Sixth Form has been judged as 'Good' by Ofsted.

As part of a wider inspection of Hellesdon High School in October 2023, inspectors praised Hellesdon Sixth Form for its high-quality education in a warm and welcoming environment, where students achieve highly.

Inspectors highlighted its teachers for having good subject knowledge and a high degree of consistency in the delivery of lessons. They said students are provided with valuable information, such as careers information and more general life skills, which prepares students well for their next steps.

Students also told inspectors they have a positive experience within Sixth Form and would recommend it to others.
