Policies & Procedures
What is a school policy?
“An effective policy should provide a sound basis upon which more detailed actions and plans can be layered. It should give members of staff an indication of what their role might be in implementing it. Most importantly it should provide a united approach that distinguishes your school.” National Association of Headteachers
By setting the various goals and assigning the proper authorities that enable school governance and management, school policies make clear to staff, students, parents and the community exactly what educators are accountable for. School policy helps professionals govern in an orderly fashion. Since every school policy affects a child’s education, each decision that is made is carefully considered by the relevant Governing Body.
