Health Week 2026

Kicking Off the Year Strong: Our Fantastic Health Week!
We celebrated Health Week, focusing on promoting healthy bodies and minds. Our children enjoyed a variety of activities, from fun fitness challenges and mindful exercises to learning about nutritious foods and wellbeing. It was wonderful to see children engaged, active, and excited about making healthy choices every day!
- Basketball- The children had a great time taking part in a basketball workshop, where they practiced dribbling, passing, and shooting skills while learning the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.
-
Fruity Fun: The children loved designing (and eating!) their very own fruit kebabs. It was a great, hands-on way to learn about "eating the rainbow" and trying out fresh, healthy flavors.

-
Sensational Salads: We put on our chef hats for a brilliant cooking session run by Cookies Kitchen!! The children chopped, measured, and mixed their very own delicious couscous salads, learning all about wholesome grains and nutritious veggies.

- Animal Dancing – The children went on an imaginative animal journey with Annie Mooney and practiced exercises that crossed the midline, using opposite arms and legs, and learnt a dance featuring all the animals from their journey.
-
Finding Our Zen: We rolled out the mats for some calming yoga sessions. The children learned simple stretches and breathing exercises to help them relax, focus, and build flexibility. The children took part in fantastic yoga workshops, exploring gentle stretches, breathing exercises, and mindfulness techniques.

-
Action-Packed Karate: We channeled our excitement into introductory karate activities! The focus was all on balance, coordination, listening skills, and having fun while getting our heart rates up.
-
Dance- The children had a brilliant time taking part in a dance workshop, exploring new movements, learnt fun routines, and used their creativity to add their own dance moves.
-
Healthy Habits: Alongside the physical activities, we spent plenty of time in the classroom learning all about sleep, hydration, and what our growing bodies need to stay strong and happy.
It was a wonderfully active week, and we are so proud of how enthusiastically the children participated. Be sure to ask your child which activity was their favourite—and maybe ask them for their new couscous salad recipe!
