Sports Days this week

Just a reminder about the information that came home this week regarding Sports Days coming up this week. At the moment we are going ahead with the days as planned but obviously we are dependent on the weather being on our side. If we need to make any changes to the arrangements, we will let parents know as soon as we can. Please keep an eye on emails / apps / Facebook posts. Don't forget to bring camping style chairs / blankets to sit on to watch each event (we do a carousel style Sports Day so you will move from event to event during the morning to watch your child).
Monday
Year 3 9:15am - 10:45am
Year 4 11:00am - 12:30pm

Wednesday
Year 5 9:15am - 10:45am
Year 6 11:00am - 12:30pm
For the first sports day on each of the days (Year 3 and 5) all of the gates will be open for entry however only the front gate on Middletons Lane will be available for exit. For the Year 4 and Year 6 Sports Days, entry and exit will be via the front gates. We ask that parents wait by the green gates until break time is over and we let you through for the events.

We will gather everybody on the playground to start each Sports Day. All of the events are designed for the children to earn points for their house team. The activities will run as a carousel around six different events. We would suggest bringing a camping chair or similar that can be moved from event to event for spectating.

At the end of the sports day, we will all come back together on the playground to hear which team has won within the year group. At the end of the final Sports Day on the Wednesday, we will announce which team has won overall.

On your child’s sports day, please make sure that your child is wearing their usual PE kit to school. The only other day that they will need PE kit will be for their Thursday games lesson. Please also make sure that they have a refillable water bottle, hat and suncream especially if it is very sunny.

We are looking forward to welcoming several students from Hellesdon High School who will be on work experience next week and will be supporting the staff in the running of our Sports Days.
