We are a happy school that takes pride in our fully inclusive approach and our strong commitment to educating the whole child. We hope that you are able to get a sense of our fantastic school community through browsing our website. It is thanks to the supportive and strong partnership between children, parents, staff, governors and the wider community itself that we are able to achieve so much.
Visitors frequently comment on the friendly, positive and welcoming atmosphere at our school. Attendance and behaviour are excellent and we have a good reputation in both the local and wider community. We like to learn together, have fun and enjoy celebrating success.
At 11 o'clock, we observed two minutes of silence to remember those who gave their tomorrows for our todays. A member of Year 5 took the time to write a beautiful poem which provides us all with very important reflection. #LestWeForget #PoppyAppeal2024 #wewillrememberthem
11 Nov 2024Don't forget tomorrow is 'Odd Socks Day' as part of Anti-Bullying week. Show your uniqueness through your choice of socks. #oddsocksday2024 #antibullyingweek2024 Photos to follow.
11 Nov 2024"When you go home, tell them of us and say, For your tomorrow, we gave our today." The first Armistice Day was observed on November 11, 1919, to mark the first anniversary of the end of the First World War. Remembrance Sunday has been held ever since on the nearest Sunday to November 11. Tomorrow we will hold our silence as a collective at 11am on the playground. If your child has a poppy please encourage them to wear it with pride tomorrow. Photos of the fantastic artwork produced by Year 5 this week, displayed on their classroom windows facing the carpark, please take a look as you walk to the playground. #RemembranceSunday #royalbritishlegionpoppyappeal #wewillrememberthem

08 Nov 2024Next Friday, 15 November, we will be fundraising for BBC Children in Need 2024. Our target is £200. To raise this amount we are asking for a donation, via our just giving page. Children are invited to attend KJS in non-uniform. This year there is no specific theme but dressing up is always fun. You can keep it simple and wear yellow or spots or go all out and wear your best fancy dress outfit. Please keep outfits suitable and sensible for a day at school. Dressing up is not compulsory so just non-uniform will be fine too. Please donate via the link. Thank you for your continued support with our fundraising efforts.
