Run Firside 2025

What an absolutely brilliant day we had on November 5th when we held our Run Firside event. The atmosphere was electric, full of energy, excitement, and incredible community spirit. We were thrilled to collaborate with the Community Sports Foundation (CSF) to make this amazing event happen. Every single child and member of staff laced up their trainers to take part in the run—it truly was a whole-school effort!

Fun and fundraising

The event was a 50/50 fundraiser, meaning all the hard-earned sponsorship money will be split evenly between the Community Sports Foundation and our fantastic Friends of Firside. Our children have been working tirelessly to collect sponsorship pledges, and we couldn't be prouder of their dedication. The Friends of Firside are allocating their share of the sponsorship money directly towards a hugely exciting goal: helping us purchase a second class set of iPads. Every step run is a step closer to enhancing our technology and learning opportunities in the classroom.

A brilliant community day

The energy on the day was infectious! The event kicked off with a brilliant warm-up led by the CSF staff, accompanied by music to get everyone moving. To make the run extra special, CSF brought along the start/finish archway from the Run Norwich event, and they even provided official Run Norwich number bibs for the children, although many chose to proudly wear their own creative designs.

The sense of community was palpable. Children created special banners to cheer on their classmates and teachers, and there were countless high-fives shared across the course. It was a day where everyone achieved something great, whether they ran, jogged, or walked.

We look forward to announcing our final fundraising total very soon. Also, a big thank you to the CSF team, who will be awarding special prizes to the children who have reached key fundraising milestones. Thank you to everyone who sponsored, cheered, and took part.
