Animal Club Visit

Our Year 1 children were so excited to welcome Animal Club in to our school to visit, bringing along an amazing collection of creatures for the children to meet up close. It was a hands on learning adventure that the children won’t forget in a hurry.
Children discovered fascinating facts about a range of animals and their habitats, which linked closely to their science learning - from the slithery world of snakes, to the curious lives of rats, and even the tiny but mighty insects that play such important roles in nature. The session helped the children understand where these animals live, what they eat, and how they survive in the wild.
The highlight for many was the chance to hold and handle the animals. With big smiles (and a few brave faces!), pupils gently held snakes, stroked friendly rats, and examined insects up close. Staff were incredibly proud of how confident, respectful, and enthusiastic the children were throughout the experience.
