World Book Day 2026!

We enjoyed a truly wonderful World Book Day, bursting with curiosity, creativity, and a shared love of reading and was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school this year.
Children immersed themselves in stories, explored favourite books, and took part in a range of fun, book‑themed activities that brought the joy of reading to life. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to enjoy reading and appreciate the importance of books.
Many children and staff came dressed as their favourite book characters, which made the school colourful and lively.
The children looked fantastic in their World Book Day costumes, and we are incredibly grateful to all the parents and carers whose time, creativity, and enthusiasm helped make the day feel so special for them.
We were very fortunate to welcome a special visitor from the Norfolk Children's Book Centre, who joined us to share a story with the children. His warm, engaging reading made the experience feel even more magical and added an extra spark of excitement to the day. Alongside this, the children received World Book Day tokens, which they eagerly exchanged for a brand‑new book of their choosing to take home.
The day reminded everyone that books are full of knowledge, imagination, and adventure; and of everything stories give us, the adventures they spark, the questions they inspire, and the way they bring us together. We are excited to continue our reading journey as a school community discover the joy of books.
