Well done to all the children for their fabulous performance of the Nativity. We hope you all enjoyed it.

This week we will be doing lots of Christmas craft activities - the children will make a sparkly snowflake hanging decorations, a decorated bauble biscuit and a lollipop stick Santa. They will bring them all home to show you.

We will be sharing Christmas stories.

There is the Christmas party after school today which the children are very excited about.

In your child's bookbag on Friday there wwere all the sounds on flashcards that we have covered so far (you can cut out)  so the children can practise saying all of the sounds or make cvc words out of them to blend e.g. c a t, m o p, j a m b ee p, r ai n. This will help the children become really familiar and confident with these, especially the digraphs as they are more tricky! There are also be letter formation sheets for the children to do both the individual sounds and the tricky words. Please also keep reading over the holidays! We will be putting 2 reading books in bookbags so the children can practise over the holidays. If your child does not have a reading book yet then please keep practising the word box words on the strips that have come home over the past term. Also if you haven't downloaded the jolly phonics app yet then this would be a good time to do this to really help the children become secure.

The White Rose maths is brilliant for practising subitising (knowing how many objects there are without counting)
