Maths
This half term will have a focus on multiplication and division, fractions and place value. Our lessons will also concentrate on advancing our reasoning and fluency skills.
English
This half term our text is Rhythm of the Rain by Grahame Baker-Smith. The children will be creating their own setting narrative followed by an information leaflet for our non-fiction writing outcome.
Discovery Learning
In History, we will explore the Romans, and the impact they had on Britain.
In our Science we will be learning about Food and Nutrition and explore the human skeleton and muscle system.
In DT, we will be looking at food. We will be focusing on Italian food, to link to our learning on Romans, and the children will create an Italian inspired snack.
General Notices
Outdoor Learning
We do not have Woodlands this term.
P.E. Our PE sessions will be on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons so please can children be wearing their PE kit on those days. They will need school shoes on but trainers to change into.
Class Dojo
Class Dojo will continue to be used this year. It is a great space where you can view photos, videos and information about what is happening in Year 3 and across the school. If you require another invitation to join, please don’t hesitate to ask
Belongings
Please can you ensure that all belongings and named (PE Kits – Wellies – School Uniform – Bags – Coats – Water bottles etc).
