Miss Banner and Mrs Herron's Blog - week beginning 24.5.21

This is what we are doing this week:

This week we are finishing off the artwork for the corridor displays - the children have really enjoyed painting and with any spare paint that has been left over the children have done some free painting, continuing to mix colours and selecting the brush they need for the job.

The stories this week are all about animals and there is an RSHE theme about getting along with others and how to be a good friend which is the focus in RSHE this week. We will be discussing what being a friend is and what is friendly behaviour and what is not friendly behaviour.

In maths we are learning about the number 12 and that it is made up of 10 + 2. We are also looking at different ways of making 12. We are also learning about arrays and how the numbers can be arranged in row of different amounts.

We will all write a sentence and continue to read.

In Phonics we are looking at different ways to make the 'ue' sounds eg glue, flew, tube.

We hope you have all thought of an idea for the 10 challenge - we look forward to hearing about it after half term.

Have a good break!
