Science week.

This week is science week and throughout the week the children have been learning all about being scientists! We started the week by discussing what we thought science was and the children had lots of ideas. We learned about some of the huge variety of sciences there are; astronomy, botany, biology, archaeology, zoology, anthropology to name a few.

Each day the we have learned about a new science and carried out investigations and experiments. We have worked in teams to complete challenges and have been able to ask questions and discover things by ourselves too. We have been geologists learning about rocks, entomologists studying insects, learned about electronics and electrical circuits, been engineers building and testing the strength of towers and chemists investigating how to clean pennies. It has been great fun and we have learned a lot.

Sunshine

The weather has finally improved and we are really enjoying the sunshine. Please can you make sure your child has a water bottle in school every day and remember to apply sun tan cream. The children have hats at school so no need to worry about those.

Class Photos

We had our class photo taken at the beginning of the week. The children have brought home a QR code so that you can have a look and order them online.
