NSPCC Number Day 2025

Number Day is a free and inclusive maths-inspired fundraising day for children.
It's the perfect way to get involved with fundraising and celebrating maths while helping to protect more children from abuse.
Funds raised from Number Day will help to support vital NSPCC services such as Speak out Stay Safe.
At Garrick Green all classes have participated in number day. The children could dress in a top with numbers on it and bring £1 to help raise funds.
Emerald, Teal and Sage class have used their practical maths skills to weigh and measure ingredients and timed the cooking process to make buns and crispie cakes.
Olive and Jade class have decorated biscuits using dice patterns and their knowledge of subitising.
All of these items will be on sale on the playground at the end of the day to raise more funds for the NSPCC. Emerald and Teal class have made posters and price lists to advertise this!
Other activities have included singing number songs and reading number stories…
Playing number games…
Emerald and Teal have been making numberness posters to share all they know about a number…
There have been other activities such as data handling using tally charts and then creating graphs from this data.
All in all, the children have had a fabulous numbertastic day learning about numbers in lots of different ways whilst raising money for a very important charity. Thank you to all our families for your support!
