A Guide for Parents/Carers
What is Pupil Premium?
- The Pupil Premium is money from the government to be spent on supporting:
- Children from low-income families who are currently eligible for free school meals (FSM)
- Children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months by the local authority
- Children who have been eligible for Free School Meals at any point during the last six years
- Children of service personnel.
How is it being used in 2019-20?
- An independent SaLT to assess individuals and plan programmes of work for school staff to deliver
- Numicon training and resources for maths
- Early Excellence resources for communication and language in Reception
- Power of Reading literacy resource
- One after school club per week and all trips fully funded
- TA employed for extra support
- £30 of uniform per year
- Home access for Education City and Purple Mash
