Wellbeing Event Success

Hellesdon High School’s annual Wellbeing Event returned on 23 April 2026, offering an engaging and supportive afternoon focused on student mental health and wellbeing.

Organised by Miss Thetford, our Student Mental Health Lead, the event brought together a wide range of charities, organisations, and community partners to provide information, guidance, and interactive experiences.

This year’s event had a particularly creative and “crafty” atmosphere, with students taking part in a variety of hands-on activities designed to promote relaxation and self-expression. The Young Carers stall led popular workshops in cross stitch, air-dry clay, and suncatcher making, while additional activities included a colouring castle, Warhammer painting, and opportunities to engage with our Art Therapist.

Alongside these creative elements, students were able to speak with visiting organisations and support services, helping to raise awareness of the many resources available to them both in school and in the wider community.

The Wellbeing Event continues to be a valued part of the school calendar, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of all students.
