Wensum Trust Pupils 'Reddy' for Comic Relief

Children at a Wensum school were ‘reddy’ for action, when they arrived dressed in red for Comic Relief on Friday 20 March.
Pupils of all ages at Heather Avenue Infant School in Norwich took part in the annual Red Nose Day appeal, swapping their usual attire for red clothing and accessories.
“Heather Avenue has supported Comic Relief for a number of years,” said Head of School Ruth Lilley.
“Over the last three times we’ve taken part in Comic Relief, we’ve raised just over £600 in total.”
“Taking part in Comic Relief helps our children understand the importance of helping others,” she added.
“Even a small act, such as wearing red and bringing in a small donation, shows our children that they can make a positive difference in the world.
“Also the school-wide activities create a sense of unity and shared purpose.
“The children looked great and shared that it was fun to wear red for Comic Relief and important to do it for charity.”
