Keeping Our Communities Tidy

Our Central Services Team have been cleaning up Wells beach.

A team from Wensum Trust’s Central Services have been helping support the local community in which children at Alderman Peel High School and Wells-next-the-Sea Primary and Nursery School live and learn.

They joined waste management company Veolia UK on a beach clean at Wells on Tuesday 21 March.

A total of 20kg of litter was collected.

Craig Nickerson-White, Assistant Estates Manager for The Wensum Trust, said: "We have been working with Veolia since the start of this academic year and it became clear both our organisations are passionate about the environment and giving back to our local communities. Many members of the public walking along the beach stopped to thank us for our efforts, whilst Wells RNLI also told us they were really grateful.

"We hope to do more of this kind of activity across our coastal, rural and city hubs in the future."
