Primary Phase Lead – English Hub
Are you passionate about transforming children’s reading outcomes and making a lasting impact across primary education? As a dedicated Primary Phase Lead at the Wensum English Hub, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of our primary reading programmes.
Working closely with the Hub Lead, you will champion excellence in early literacy, with a strong focus on systematic synthetic phonics, early language development, and fostering a rich culture of reading for pleasure across the primary age range.
You will also lead our extended support offer, with a particular emphasis on improving reading fluency in Key Stage 2 (KS2), ensuring that every child becomes a confident, fluent reader.
This is a dynamic and influential role where you will:
- Deliver high-quality programme support to schools, including audits and targeted interventions
- Provide intensive support to a designated school
- Deliver Medium Level Support (MLS) as part of the Hub’s core offer
- Support and guide Literacy Specialists, ensuring consistency and excellence in delivery
- Contribute to robust quality assurance across all primary literacy work
- Play an active role in shaping and implementing the Hub’s wider strategy
- Support the Hub Lead in achieving key Department for Education (DfE) performance targets
