Future Chefs Inspired by Industry Professionals

On Friday, we were delighted to welcome Nigel Crane and Carrie-Anne Higgs from the catering department at City College Norwich. They were joined by Daniel Smith, Chef Patron of The Wildebeest and The Ingham Swan, along with two of his chef apprentices, Leo and Liam.

They spoke to our Year 11 catering students about pathways into the catering industry, highlighting how rewarding a career in this field can be. They also explained the benefits of apprenticeship programmes, particularly in gaining valuable hands-on experience, such as those offered at City College Norwich.

Students and staff alike enjoyed a live cooking demonstration using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, with many eager to sample the finished dishes.
