Acle Academy

Study Support

Study Support is any learning activity outside of normal lessons that students  undertake voluntarily. The aim is to improve motivation, build self-esteem, raise achievement and encourage learning. We also hope the students have fun.

Acle Academy is committed to developing out of hours learning for all of its students and has an extensive timetable of clubs and classes that run before, during and after the school day. These include all sorts of sporting activities, music, drama and dance rehearsals, technology workshops, ICT and a maths club. We also run sessions for course work and revision classes during the build up to exams. Additionally a number of trips, exchanges and performances take place during the year. There is lots going on and we are continually building on this timetable to widen opportunities available to students.

Late Bus Service

Acle Academy runs a late bus service two evenings a week for those pupils who live in the rural villages and cannot otherwise participate in out-of-hours learning. The bus runs every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 4:45pm, depending on demand.

Students who want to book a place on the Late Bus must report to the office before the end of lunch break to put your name on the list. If your name is not on the list by 1:30pm, then we are afraid you will not be able to get a ride home. If you put your name on the list and need to cancel for whatever reason, then please let the office know.
