Roots Project
A group of Year 9 students have been representing Acle Academy in a project called Roots over the last five week. The project set out to connect people, issues and communities – deepening their understanding of themselves in relation to the lives of others, with a vision ‘of a more connected, compassionate and curious society, one built on dialogue rather than debate.'
The students have been matched up with a partner school in Bolton, meeting regularly remotely with a small group of students to exchange experiences. Participants were asked to reflect on their identity, their relationships and their role in wider society whilst building meaningful bonds with people they wouldn’t have otherwise met. We are really excited by this partnership and hope to continue working with our Bolton Partner School.
