Holocaust Memorial Day

In preparation for Holocaust Memorial Day, on Tuesday 27th January, students across Key Stage 3 took part in a virtual broadcast provided by the Jewish Museum London. The broadcast included testimony from Eva Schloss, a well-known survivor of the Holocaust who has worked tirelessly to educate young people about her experiences of antisemitism and persecution at the hands of the Nazi regime. This testimony was particularly poignant as Eva sadly died at the start of this year.

Students also had the opportunity to examine a key artefact from the time period, a German Jewish passport, and took part in a moment's silent reflection. This event will be supported by assemblies on this year's Holocaust Memorial Day theme, 'Bridging Generations', from Mon 2nd February.
