RSC Playmaking Event

On Friday 14th July, Mr. Frost and Mrs. Barber took fifteen students from years 7-10 to the Royal Shakespeare Company's playmaking event which took place at Norwich Theatre Playhouse.

We have been lucky enough to become a Lead Associate school with the Royal Shakespeare Company, as part of their outreach programme. In this introductory year, staff have benefited from training with the RSC and this culminated in Friday's event for students. They got to work in a professional space, and experienced workshops on lighting and sound, writing, and acting, which culminated in a sharing at the end of the day to the other schools. We focussed on Romeo and Juliet and students were able to work on interpreting the play and approaching practical work in different ways. A thoroughly enjoyable day had by all!

There will be many more student events to follow next academic year, so watch this space!
