Students were encouraged to take part in World Book Day competitions, and each form received their book tokens, which can be used to get one of this year’s free World Book Day books. It was fantastic to see so many students excited about choosing their next read!

Throughout the day, teachers across the curriculum shared their favourite books with their classes at the start of lessons. From well-loved classics to modern favourites, staff talked about the books that inspired them, and some even brought in copies to read a short excerpt to their classes.

It was a great opportunity to show students that reading isn’t just a hobby – it’s a key part of learning, curiosity and personal enrichment, no matter what subject you study.
