Thank You NHS
Firside Junior School children send creative messages of thanks to NHS workers at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital, during lockdown.
As part of Firside Friday's Act of Kindness, over 70 pupils have created their own unique and colourful message of thanks to send to NHS workers at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital.
Children in Years 3 to 6 were keen to get involved and showed a great deal of creativity, using lots of different mediums to get their messages of thanks across, including snow, lego, pebbles and paint.
One of our Year 4 Teachers, Mrs Nice, has kindly collated all the messages into a lovely video (shown below), to make it easier to share with NHS workers and our wider school community.
" This has been a fantastic opportunity for the children to show their appreciation for the hard work that is going on in our local hospitals. It is difficult for them at the moment, not being able to meet up with friends and family and with so much of their normal life being restricted. This was just a simple way of sending encouragement from our school community."
Our video was shared with over 10,500 NHS workers, and we were delighted to receive the following video message from Nancy Fontaine, Chief Nurse at NNUH, thanking all the children at Firside Junior School for their support.
