Information on Catch Up funding, related to Covid-19 closures
This year, the government have offered schools additional funding to help support with 'catch-up' work, following school closures that took place due to Covid-19. Schools have been offered £80 per pupil on roll during the Autumn Term. We carried out baseline assessments in September 2020 to see where the children were at in English and Maths. We then planned appropriate and timely sessions in English and Maths to address the gaps. The Catch-Up funding is being used across the school in a variety of ways such as:
- Addition Speech and Language support for the youngest children.
- Addition Maths and English lessons from teachers for our Key Stage 2 children.
- Additional Phonics sessions for our Year 1 and Year 2 children.
Throughout the coming months of 2020-2021, we will reassess the impact of this funding and amend if needed, so that the children are getting the best provision possible, using this additional money.
